Mary Beth Micucci


Title:

  Director, Distance Education

 

Mary Beth Micucci is the Director, Distance Education, for HIMSS, the largest U.S. cause-based, not-for-profit healthcare association focused on the optimal use of information technology and management systems for the betterment of healthcare.

Micucci brings extensive association and education experience to HIMSS, where she leads HIMSS distance education programming, including the HIMSS Virtual Conference & Expo, eLearning Academy, an online resource of educational material and courses, and webinars. In 2007, she returned as a consultant to help develop course content for the HIMSS Virtual Conference & Expo and other HIMSS webinars. She became Manager of Distance Education in 2008 and was promoted to Director in 2009. Earlier in her career, Micucci was a member of the HIMSS Education team, from 1997-2001, as Education Coordinator with a promotion in 2000 to Manager, Seminars and Conferences. In this position, she developed and coordinated educational programs for HIMSS Chapters and other health IT professionals.

Before joining HIMSS, Micucci was Manager, Program Services, for the Radiological Society of North American, or RSNA, where she coordinated the educational program for the world’s largest medical meeting of 60,000 attendees and managed the Program Office at the RSNA annual conference. She also served as Program Coordinator for US Too, International, Inc., establishing prostate cancer support groups and more than 325 chapters.

Micucci holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a member of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) and the eLearning Guild.
