Jennifer Horowitz is Senior Director, Research at HIMSS Analytics, a wholly owned, not-for-profit subsidiary of HIMSS, the largest U.S. cause-based, not-for-profit healthcare association focused on the optimal use of information technology and management systems for the betterment of healthcare. 

 

Horowitz has worked in the healthcare information technology (HIT) industry for 13 years, the past eight of which have been with HIMSS/HIMSS Analytics. She has extensive background in managing research engagements, from project design through final deliverable to client. This includes identifying appropriate survey methodology, data collection and analysis methodologies to meet client expectations. She also serves as an at-large Board Member to the Michigan Chapter of HIMSS.

She earned a BA in Sociology and a BA in Magazine Journalism, both with honors, from Syracuse University in New York. Horowitz went on to receive an MA in Sociology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Ill. In addition, she is a HIMSS Fellow and a Certified Professional Health Information Management Systems (CPHIMS) designee.
